When a device is seized as evidence, every second counts. Modern smartphones and tablets can receive remote commands including lock signals, wipe instructions, and OS updates the moment they touch a network. Standard evidence handling often means powering the device down, but that destroys volatile data, triggers encryption locks, and can make forensic extraction far more difficult or even impossible.

The Mission Darkness Blocker Locker 7 was engineered specifically to solve this problem. It is a secure, organized locker system that includes 7 Window Charge & Shield Faraday Bags, which provide complete RF isolation while simultaneously allowing each device to stay powered, visible, and connected to forensic tools throughout the entire evidence workflow. Additional Charge & Shield bags can be purchased separately to increase capacity or to keep spares on hand for rapid swap-out between operations.

No other storage solution has been designed with this depth of forensic-specific intent, from power failure alerts and individual cabinet locks to glove-friendly magnetic closures and live device access through a Faraday seal. Every feature of the Blocker Locker 7 system exists to solve a real problem investigators face in the field and in the lab.

The Locker

Purpose-Built Cabinet Features

Charge Up to 14 Devices Simultaneously

Each cabinet includes a built-in outlet with two USB power receptacles to charge all 7 included Charge & Shield bags simultaneously. Additional bags can be purchased to expand capacity up to 14 devices, keeping an entire evidence batch live and powered throughout the forensic workflow.

Two UL-Certified Cable Sets Per Compartment

Each compartment includes two UL-certified cable sets to support immediate forensic connectivity. Each set contains a universal angle USB-A/M to USB-A/M, Lightning to USB, Micro USB, USB-C, and a USB extension cable. DataPort Swabs are also included for cleaning device charging ports and ensuring reliable power connections during extractions.

Secure, Layered Locking System

Each cabinet has its own individual lock so only authorized personnel can access its contents. The full system includes two keys per compartment, four master keys that access all compartments, and a dedicated key dropbox with two keys, providing complete access control for multi-user forensic lab environments.

MySpool Power Failure Detector

The integrated MySpool detector automatically sends an SMS and/or email alert if power is lost inside the unit, immediately notifying investigators so no device loses charge undetected during a long-running extraction or overnight evidence hold.

Durable Construction

Features a robust outer aluminum casting with a black coating, built to withstand the demands of active forensic lab and evidence room environments.

Compatible with Blocker Locker 7 Stand Add-On

The optional Blocker Locker 7 Stand elevates the locker to a user-friendly height, eliminating the need for extensive installation while providing a spacious storage compartment beneath the unit.

Transparent Window for Screen Visibility

Each Charge & Shield bag features a clear window panel so the device screen remains fully visible while shielded. No need to unseal to check device status.

Charge & Access While Fully Shielded

The bags' built-in pass-through port allows USB charging cables and forensic tool connections without breaking the Faraday seal, keeping devices live throughout the entire evidence workflow. A cable lock on the external side of the USB filter reduces the chance of the cable unintentionally disconnecting during an active extraction or evidence hold.

Dual-Layer TitanRF Faraday Fabric Blocks All Wireless Signals

Each bag uses two layers of military-grade TitanRF Faraday material to completely block all wireless signals — including cellular (4G/LTE/5G), WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, RFID, and NFC — across a frequency range of 100 MHz to 40 GHz. Lab-verified to 90+ dB attenuation, ensuring seized devices cannot receive remote wipe commands, location pings, or any over-the-air transmissions.

Patented NeoLok™ Magnetic Closure (US11284546B2)

Each bag uses a patented NeoLok magnetic seal instead of velcro, which is critical for forensic investigators wearing gloves, as velcro closures can snag and tear forensic gloves during evidence handling. The magnetic seal closes instantly, securely, and without contact friction.

Compatible with Charge Preserve Evidence Bag

The Charge & Shield Faraday Bag is compatible with the Mission Darkness Charge Preserve Evidence Bag, allowing investigators to charge and isolate seized devices without compromising physical or digital evidence. By sealing the device inside the Charge Preserve Evidence Bag first, it prevents contamination inside the Faraday bag, preserving DNA and other physical evidence while prolonging the Faraday bag's cleanliness and reusability for future cases.
