Operator placing the DroneCloak over a downed drone in an open desert environment
Mission Darkness™ // Counter-UAS

DroneCloak

A rapid-deployment, dome-style Faraday cover that neutralizes and isolates a downed drone from a safe standoff distance. Drape it, and the command link, video downlink, and remote triggers go quiet.

01 // Signal Suppression

A Downed Drone Is Still Broadcasting

A scrambler drops the aircraft. It does not silence it. Until the radios are shielded, the airframe can still be re-linked, still stream video, still phone home, and still act as a remote trigger. The DroneCloak establishes a conductive shield over the entire platform the moment it lands.

02 // Field Sequence

Ten Seconds From Pack to Contained

The whole system is one operator, one pole, one motion. No power, no calibration, no setup.

01

Extend

Telescoping pole runs from 44.25" collapsed to 132.5" extended, keeping the operator well clear of the target.

02

Hook

The pole hook picks up the integrated webbing straps sewn into the cloak for accurate lift and placement.

03

Drape

Lower the 48" dome over the airframe. Roughly 30" of loose fabric skirt swallows bulky payloads and rotor arms.

04

Release

Quick-release hook detaches and retracts, leaving the cloak seated and the operator at standoff distance throughout.

03 // Delivery Options
Heavy-lift carrier drone suspending the DroneCloak by its webbing straps and lowering it over a target drone

Carried In by Hand, or by Air

The same webbing strap rig that the pole hook grabs can hang from a lifting drone. That means the cover can be flown to the target and released from above, with no one moving forward of the airframe at all.

  • Ground PlacementOne operator on the telescoping pole, working from roughly eleven feet back at full extension. Fastest option when the target is reachable on foot.
  • Aerial PlacementA carrier drone lifts the cloak by the deployment straps and lowers it over the target, keeping personnel entirely out of the area.
When Air Delivery Earns Its Keep

Suspected ordnance, a rooftop or rubble field no one should be walking into, or a target on the far side of a perimeter. If approaching the drone is the risk, the cloak does not need a person to carry it.

Stand Off. Stay Covered.

The operator never has to stand over the airframe.

Suspect payload, unknown ordnance, live camera. Every one of those is a reason to place the shield from eleven feet away instead of arm's length.

Cloak, Pole, Carry Case

Multi-layer TitanRF Flex Faraday Fabric over a flexible sprung frame, hung from a lightweight telescoping pole. It ships as one kit and packs down to a disc you can wear on your back.

  • Shielding FabricMulti-layer TitanRF Flex construction, built for repeated operational cycles rather than single use.
  • Deployment StrapsIntegrated webbing straps interface with the pole hook so the cloak can be positioned accurately and released cleanly.
  • Collapsible FrameTwists down like a windshield sunshade into a compact circular pack, no disassembly required.
  • Certified ShieldingLab tested to military-grade electromagnetic shielding standard GJB 8820, comparable to IEEE-299-2006.

08 // Repack

Folds Like a Sunshade

The flexible frame collapses using the same twist that folds a car windshield shade. Grasp opposite edges, twist the frame into overlapping loops, and the full dome becomes a compact circle that drops straight into the case. No sacrifice in deployment speed or shielding performance.

Usage Warning

Shielding effectiveness can be compromised by punctures, tears, or extended exposure to moisture. Do not pierce, cut, or place sharp or heated objects on the fabric. Avoid deploying on wet surfaces or in heavy rain, and inspect the material for damage before and after each use.

Drape-Style Shield, Not a Sealed Enclosure

The DroneCloak is a drape-style shield rather than a fully sealed Faraday enclosure. Built for rapid field use, it significantly attenuates control and downlink signals and is effective in typical downed-drone scenarios. For full-seal RF isolation of recovered electronics, pair it with the Recon Faraday Drone Shield or a comparable sealed bag.
