The Mission Darkness™ Forensic Crack Cabinet system solves multiple problems for forensics investigators and labs. To effectively access and recover data from cell phones and tablets, the latest forensic tools require devices to stay live up to the point of password/passcode unlocking and data extraction. It often takes months for passcodes to be "cracked" or for device analysis to occur. This cabinet keeps devices charged, physically organized, and securely locked throughout this pre-analysis waiting stage and thereafter. The charging feature is designed to prevent lockout mode, reduce the amount of time needed to break a passcode, and keep the device charged while high-powered processing occurs, enabling the maximum amount of data extraction and unlocking with tools like GrayKey, Cellebrite, Magnet, XRY, BlackBag, Oxygen, etc.
The cabinet is constructed with a durable frame and transparent acrylic walls and shelves, which allow the user to clearly view contents inside and device screens. It includes eight fully equipped compartments with all necessary charging components. The compartments are spacious enough to store one or two devices, plus unused cable tips and associated paperwork/case files. Each compartment includes a USB A/M to A/M extension cable plus a variety of popular cable tips: lightning, micro USB, and USB-C. Easily change cable tips inside the compartment to connect to the compatible device. An extension pack can be purchased to increase charging capabilities from eight to sixteen devices. A Noctua fan cooling system consists of four NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM fans lining the side wall plus a NA-FC1 controller to stabilize device temperature and heat generated from high-power processor speeds by expelling it through air holes.
The complete system ensures that device organization, visibility, and power are never compromised, providing a seamless process for forensic investigators.
