Mission Darkness TitanRF Faraday Tape conductive adhesive wireless signal blocking material

Use TitanRF™ Faraday Tape to Create Your Own RF Shielding Enclosure

Mission Darkness TitanRF™ Faraday Tape offers the next generation of faraday shielding. It has been laboratory tested and certified to shielding effectiveness standards IEEE 299-2006 (see report details below). The high-shielding conductive adhesive tape is available in multiple lengths and widths. The tape can be easily cut and taped to surfaces for creating DIY faraday cages or RF shielding enclosures, EMF radiation reduction, EMI shielding and deflection, or connecting two sheets of TitanRF Faraday Fabric.

If using with TitanRF Faraday Fabric, place the sheets together and overlap slightly. Adhere the tape to the front and back layers to seal both sides. Make sure all edges are covered. The tape is extremely strong and cannot be removed easily once in place (may damage the fabric if removed).

The tape can also be used like a patch to easily repair a punctured faraday bag.

Use in Construction Projects

Build Your Enclosure With TitanRF Faraday Materials

Use TitanRF Faraday Tape alongside TitanRF Faraday Fabric to create custom RF shielding enclosures and rooms. The Do-It-Yourself faraday enclosure overview video demonstrates how you can use the materials for projects such as making custom faraday cages, EMI/EMR reduction, sealing RF enclosures, connecting multiple sheets of fabric, mending a punctured faraday bag, etc. TitanRF Faraday Fabric is lab tested and certified to shielding effectiveness standards MIL STD 188-125 and IEEE 299-2006.

Scientifically Proven Performance, Lab Tested and Certified

TitanRF Faraday Tape Laboratory Testing, to Confirm Shielding Effectiveness Standards IEEE 299-2006

Testing Completed by Keystone Compliance Laboratory on October 7, 2020

TitanRF Faraday Tape has been tested and certified to meet shielding effectiveness standards IEEE 299-2006. The shielding effectiveness test was conducted by Keystone Compliance, a full-service regulatory compliance laboratory offering solutions for nearly all EMC/EMI, environmental, ISTA-certified package and ingress protection testing requirements.

IEEE 299-2006 is the standard test method for measuring the effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding enclosures and materials. A properly-shielded device will effectively retain all RF energy in its faraday enclosure and keep all external RF isolated. The TitanRF Faraday Tape is advertised as a conductive material that can be used to isolate devices by blocking the frequency range most mobile devices and electronics transmit/operate within. To provide validation for this claim, the shielding effectiveness test measured how well the tape shields frequencies between 1.5GHz to 40GHz. The positive test results provides authentication of its shielding abilities. The full test report and signal attenuation graph can be viewed on the link below.

Use the Taperator for Fast, Easy, One-handed Tape Application

The Mission Darkness Taperator provides fast, easy, one-handed tape application for constructing RF shielding enclosures and projects. The Taperator is only compatible with the TitanRF Faraday Tape 2" width x 164' length rolls. Large scale tape application without the assistance of the Taperator can be off-centered, strenuous, and inaccuracies may result in RF leakage. The Taperator firmly applies tape to flat seams, and has a retractable creasing wheel for taping inside corners. The ability to switch between the flat and angled roller is a unique feature that allows the user to effortlessly and evenly apply tape to all wall areas. The trigger actuated cut-off blade slices the tape free from the roll of tape at the end of runs. Visit the Taperator page to learn more.

It's fantastic just one question......

This fabric is really great! So this is a question Im sorting through. I had bluetooth and WIFI running simultaneously. My tester app showed all three signals running. Excellant. I laid just one layer of fabric on top...not much. I laid one layer of fabric down underneath the phone then one on the top. It dropped a little more. Then I pressed down and wrapped the phone tight with no openings and it killed both my blue tooth and WIFI completely down to below the chart. So, it appears there can be not openings at all. I incorporated 2 layers of fabric into a hat. That fits on top of my head Does this mean it goes through through my brain since its not 100% around my brain? I totally am intending to block all RF from messing with my brain. One layer works folks. Any thoughts? Also, If its 100% enclosed then one layer worked for me. By the way, this fabric rules.

TITAN Tape

This tape is amazing, I used it to make a faraday cage in a Pelican case and it made a difference filling in the gaps.

Worked great!

Tape was easy to apply, blends in almost invisibly with the fabric, and sticks very well.
