Mission Darkness™ Exodus EMP Faraday Motorcycle Cover

The Mission Darkness™ Exodus EMP Faraday Motorcycle Cover is an extremely large tent-style faraday enclosure specifically designed for shielding motorcycles and small vehicles with electric components from a high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP/EMP), coronal mass ejection (CME), or related occurrences. The high-shielding properties of the cover direct damaging electromagnetic fields away from highly sensitive electrical components (such as those incorporated into vehicles), thus protecting their working structure. It's constructed with two layers of TitanRF™ Faraday Fabric with no exposed stitching (no holes) and 100% continuous planes. The material has been lab tested and certified "compliant" for MIL-STD-188-125, High-Altitude Electromagnetic Protection for Ground Based C4I Facilities. The results ensure that the material surpasses military shielding requirements to handle natural or man-made EMPs (*see testing details below).

In the case of a HEMP/EMP or CME, everything from electrical infrastructure on a national level to personal electronics could be destroyed, which is why it’s imperative to shield irreplaceable and survival electronics, including electric vehicles. The large interior space can accommodate a range of small vehicles, including motorcycles, electric bicycles, scooters, golf carts, ATVs, commercial generators on trailers, electric tools and machinery. The tall height of 7' (2.1m) at its top peak allows the user to comfortably stand under the cover as they wheel the vehicle inside.

The cover includes a sturdy heavy-weight frame constructed out of 1.5" (3.8cm) heavy gauge steel and metal corner joints so that the structure is stable and safe. A single piece contoured faraday cover fits snugly over the top and side walls, giving the tent a tight fit around the frame. The top cover drapes over the faraday floor base, creating a fully enclosed faraday chamber, that effectively blocks radio frequency (RF) signals. Once the vehicle is securely stored inside, a weighted object [such as 2" x 4" (5.1cm x 10.2cm) wood planks; not included] should be placed over the exterior rim to apply pressure to the RF blocking seal. Vehicles can be accessed as needed, simply by removing the planks and lifting up the top cover piece.

We made the Exodus EMP Faraday Motorcycle Cover because all other options on the market were 3-5 times more expensive, not readily available, had long lead times, were heavy, and impractical for most uses. This faraday tent is easy to install, accommodates a range of vehicles, and successfully blocks RF signals, providing peace of mind knowing that your vehicle is protected.

Usage Warning

Special precautions should be taken when inserting the vehicle into the Exodus EMP Faraday Motorcycle Cover. We do not recommend removing the cover frequently (as one might do with a standard unshielded vehicle cover), to reduce the chance of the delicate shielding material (TitanRF Faraday Fabric) becoming tarnished or ripped. The expectation is that a spare vehicle (such as an irreplaceable motorcycle with electric components or emergency/ "doomesday" vehicle), will be stored inside indefinitely, opposed to being removed on a regular basis.

DO NOT IDLE GAS VEHICLE ENGINE WHILE INSIDE THE COVER! Only allow vehicle to be turned on for a very short time to slowly and carefully drive it inside the cover. Make sure the opening is expanded to allow ventilation during that brief period.

Do not run any cables through the cover or between the bottom and top layers. Additionally, the rubber floor mat should not go between the bottom and top layers (must remain completely inside of the tent frame). An obtruding object will break the faraday seal, and allow RF signals to penetrate the tent.

The cover should always remain indoors in a dry and protected environment, such as a garage, since it's constructed out of TitanRF Faraday Fabric and does not include additional waterproof/weatherproof layers.

Durable aluminum frame with fitted faraday cover seamless construction two layers of TitanRF™ Faraday Fabric

Installation consists of laying the faraday floor base, assembling the metal frame, covering the frame with the fitted top piece faraday cover, then laying a long, flat, weighted object (like wooden planks) around the exterior base rim.

The frame is built out of 1.5" (3.8cm) heavy gauge powder-coated steel with metal corner joints.

Pole clamps can be used to hold the cover up at a desired height while inserting or removing vehicles.

A heavy-duty rubber floor mat covers the interior floor space and protects the faraday fabric from vehicle wheel abrasion and grime.

The metal frame height peaks at 7' (2.13m) tall, allowing the user to comfortably stand inside as they are inserting or removing the vehicle.

Mission Darkness Exodus EMF Faraday Motorcycle Cover protects vehicles from electromagnetic pulse damage

When the two faraday cover pieces (top fitted cover and floor base) make an unobstructed connection on all sides, a fully enclosed faraday chamber is formed which effectively blocks radio frequency (RF) signals and protects contents inside.

Offers HEMP/EMP Protection

TitanRF Faraday Fabric underwent rigorous lab testing to certify that it meets military standards MIL-STD-188-125, as well as IEEE 299-2006. This compliance measure not only ensures that it shields against high-altitude electromagnetic pulses (HEMPs) and related occurrences, such as coronal mass ejections (CMEs), electrostatic discharges (ESDs), and solar flares, but also provides concrete proof to the shielding ability and effectiveness of the material.
