TitanRF
Faraday Tape

The conductive copper/nickel adhesive tape that connects TitanRF™ Faraday Fabric, seals RF enclosures, and patches punctured bags. Cut it, peel it, stick it, and lock in a conductive seam that blocks cell, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and RFID signals.

01 — The seal

The simplest way to close a Faraday cage.

TitanRF™ Faraday Tape is a high-shielding conductive adhesive tape engineered to join sheets of TitanRF Faraday Fabric, seal the seams of an RF shielding enclosure, and repair a punctured Faraday bag. It cuts, peels, and applies like ordinary tape, but it carries current across every overlap so signals can't leak through the joint.

It's independently lab-tested and certified to IEEE 299-2006, with shielding effectiveness measured across 1.5 GHz to 40 GHz by Keystone Compliance. To connect two sheets, overlap them slightly, then tape the front and back so every edge is covered. The bond is extremely strong and is not meant to be removed once set.

02 — Field-proven uses

One roll. Many missions.

Connect fabric sheets

The fastest way to join overlapping sheets of TitanRF Faraday Fabric into a single conductive surface, front and back, with no gaps.

Seal RF enclosures

Close every seam, corner, and doorway of a DIY Faraday cage, shielded box, or signal-proof room so the enclosure stays fully conductive.

Patch & repair bags

Mend a punctured or worn Faraday bag in seconds, restoring the conductive barrier without replacing the whole enclosure.

Rooms & tents

Build signal-proof rooms, booths, and tents by sealing overlapping fabric layers across floors, walls, ceilings, and corner seams.

EMP & EMF projects

Seal EMP sheds, boxes, and covers, or reduce EMI/EMF exposure by closing the gaps in shielded panels and device wraps.

Industrial & testing

Isolate hardware and software under test, line construction projects, and add a conductive seal to custom RF enclosures of any size.

03 — Why it performs

Built to seal. Tested to prove it.

High-shielding sealA conductive copper/nickel adhesive that blocks RF signals including WiFi, 5G cell, GPS, RFID, and Bluetooth right across the joint.
Certified performanceLab-tested and certified to IEEE 299-2006 by Keystone Compliance, with effectiveness measured from 1.5 GHz to 40 GHz.
Easy to work withCut it, peel the backing, adhere to almost any surface, and use it like standard tape. No special tools required.
Flexible & durableConforms to seams and corners and will not rip or tear without strong force, holding its bond over time.
Strong, permanent bondOnce set, the tape grips hard and is not meant to be removed; plan placement before pressing it down.
Trusted qualityThe same TitanRF shielding family used inside Mission Darkness bags and enclosures. Instruction sheet included.

From a quick Faraday-enclosure demo to a full four-part shielded box build with vents, filters, and a viewing window, all sealed with TitanRF Faraday Tape.

DIY Faraday enclosure: start here

See how TitanRF Tape and Fabric come together to build custom Faraday cages, reduce EMI/EMR, seal RF enclosures, join multiple fabric sheets, and mend a punctured bag.

Part 1

Construct a shielded box

Build a box from standard materials, then line it with certified fabric, tape, and foam gaskets.

Part 2

Add a shielded air vent

Install an EMI honeycomb panel for shielding with excellent airflow.

Part 3

Add a shielded filter

Charge and transfer data through USB, Ethernet, and power filters without letting signals in.

Part 4

Add a shielded window

Install a transparent Faraday window to view devices while maintaining conductivity.

07 — Rooms & tents

Building a full enclosure?

For a fully shielded room there can be no gaps. Use two overlapping layers of fabric on floor, ceiling, and walls, and seal every seam, corner, and overlap with TitanRF Faraday Tape. For wall-scale runs, the wider 6 in and 10 in rolls cover more surface in a single pass.

EMF reduction and total signal blockage are different jobs. Reducing EMF may only mean covering a few walls or a device; eliminating WiFi entirely requires a complete cage with 100% conductive surfaces and zero penetrations, which means taping every joint. Not sure which you need? Contact us and we'll tailor tips to your application.

09 — FAQ

Common questions.

Which width and length should I choose?

Narrow 1 in and 2.5 in rolls suit phone and keyfob bags, fabric seams, and quick repairs; wider 6 in and 10 in rolls cover large panels, walls, and floors. Choose the 10 ft small roll for small projects and the 164 ft (50 m) large roll for full builds. Many builders prefer the 2.5 in width for general-purpose work over the 1 in.

How do I connect two sheets of fabric?

Place the sheets together and overlap them slightly, then adhere the tape to both the front and back layers so both sides are sealed and every edge is covered. This creates a continuous conductive seam between sheets of TitanRF Faraday Fabric.

Is the tape removable or repositionable?

No. The tape is extremely strong and cannot be removed easily once in place, and removing it may damage the fabric. Dry-fit and plan your placement before pressing the tape down.

Can it patch or repair a punctured Faraday bag?

Yes. The tape works like a patch to quickly repair a punctured or worn Faraday bag, restoring the conductive barrier without replacing the enclosure.

Are there safety considerations?

The tape contains copper and nickel, so it is conductive and flammable. Keep it away from outlets, plugs, cables, and any electrical sources to reduce fire risk. California Prop 65: this product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Faraday tape works!

I have made 2 Faraday bags using tape and Faraday fabric from MOS. Basic testing (with 2 cellphones) showed they work. I'd recommend the 2.5" tape way over the 1" version.

High Quality Products that are easy to work with

I have made 2 key fob bags with the Faraday fabric and tape for family members from my first order. I am awaiting critiques on them now. When I tested them by holding the bags with the fobs in them on the locked car door by the handle, I was unable to unlock the door. The fabric and tape were easy to cut. The bags were easy to make. I was so impressed that I ordered more fabric and tape to make more bags for family and friends. Worth every penny I paid.

Does what it's supposed to do!

I'm making Key Fob (with other keys attached) & Credit Card security bags for my entire family. While I could have sewn the Faraday fabric and then put the tape over the holes, I chose to just tape the seams. I double layered all the Faraday fabric. When I tested the 1st one, the car doors wouldn't open, no matter how close I was, even with the bag right on the car next to the handle. To ensure that the Faraday bag was tightly double folded, I made a separate outer denim bag with a wide Velcro strip. It works well, and we are very happy with it. I will be ordering more Fabric and tape. Thank you for giving us more security & peace of mind with made in USA products!
