The Ultimate Do-It-Yourself Solution for EMP and EMI Protection
SKU: MD-DIY-27G
The Mission Darkness™ TitanRF™ DIY Faraday Cage Kit is the perfect project for do-it-yourself (DIY) enthusiasts, preppers, and tech-savvy individuals who want to protect their electronic devices from EMP threats, hacking attempts, disruptive electromagnetic waves, and wireless signal transmissions. This comprehensive kit provides specialized components and detailed instructions to build your own resealable faraday cage, offering a versatile and cost-effective alternative to expensive off-the-shelf faraday bags. It's designed to fit perfectly inside a standard 27-gallon plastic container (commonly found in hardware stores or already at home), this kit offers a customizable and effective solution for securing your electronic devices.
Whether you're looking to protect personal devices or secure high-value electronics in a professional setting, this DIY kit is the ideal choice. The kit includes detailed step-by-step printed instructions plus video links to guide you through the assembly process, complete with helpful tips for working with the materials to achieve a securely sealed faraday cage. The assembled faraday cage includes two layers of TitanRF™ Faraday Fabric and Tape, blocking all wireless signals including WiFi (2.4 & 5GHz), Bluetooth, cell signals (including 5G networks), GPS, RFID, NFC, and radio signals from low MHz to 40GHz. TitanRF materials are certified to shielding effectiveness standards MIL STD 188-125 and IEEE 299-2006.
For those who prefer understanding the science and building requirements behind wireless signal blocking, this kit offers an engaging, hands-on project. The large capacity of the assembled liner accommodates a variety of bulky electronics, providing comprehensive protection against EMP disturbances, wireless access, and EMI interference.
Note that the kit does not include a protective outer container and common household construction tools required for assembly (such as scissors, measuring tape, bin attachment adhesive); see details below.

Designed to Fit Inside Tote Bins & Storage Containers (Purchase Separately)
Note that the DIY faraday cage is intended to be used inside of a protective bin, such as a plastic 27-gallon (or similar size) resealable tote sold at most hardware stores. The bin dimensions can vary, but the one shown in our demonstration is around 30"L x 20"W x 15.5"H externally, and 23"L x 14"W x 14.3"H internally. The step-by-step instructions guide you through building a faraday cage made with two layers of faraday fabric, to ensure sufficient radio frequency (RF) signal shielding.
The faraday cage construction method used allows you to open the lid, move the sealed liner to a different container if needed, or travel with it, while maintaining a shielded environment. This provides more user options than lining the top and inside portions of the container separately, which would introduce signal every time the container is opened.
