TitanRF
Faraday Fabric
The lab-certified copper/nickel fabric that powers the entire Mission Darkness line, available by the yard. Cut it, sew it, tape it, and build a custom enclosure that blocks cell, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and EMP signals.
Fabric is nonrefundable unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect, or the product hasn't been touched and is in unopened packaging. If you are unsure of how to use the fabric for your project, contact us for tips tailed to your application.
The fabric inside everything we make.
TitanRF™ Faraday Fabric is our flagship shielding material, a woven copper-and-nickel textile engineered to block radio frequency signals from low MHz up to 40 GHz. It's the exact fabric used throughout the Mission Darkness product line and the benchmark every other material is measured against, trusted by military and law enforcement forensic investigators worldwide.
It's also independently lab-tested and certified to MIL-STD-188-125 and IEEE 299-2006. That's concrete proof of shielding against high-altitude electromagnetic pulses (HEMPs), coronal mass ejections, electrostatic discharge, and solar flares. Handle it like ordinary fabric: cut, sew, or tape it to almost any surface.
One material. Many missions.
Signal isolation & privacy
Block cell, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, RFID, and NFC to stop hacking, tracking, and spying. Built for digital privacy, forensic analysis, secure facilities, and hardware/software testing.
EMP protection
Wrap generators, radios, drives, and survival gear to defend electronics against natural or man-made electromagnetic pulses.
EMF reduction
Line walls or cover devices to reduce harmful EMF/EMI radiation exposure in bedrooms, offices, and living spaces.
Privacy & data security
Shield keyfobs, credit cards, and access badges from skimming, cloning, tracking, and unauthorized scanning.
Rooms & tents
Construct signal-proof rooms, booths, and tents using overlapping layers sealed with TitanRF Faraday Tape.
Industrial & IoT
Add a layer of shielding to construction projects, IoT development, and custom RF enclosures of any size.
Built to shield. Tested to prove it.

If it sends a signal or could fry in an EMP, you can wrap it.
From a single keyfob to an entire room, the same fabric scales to the job. A few of the most common targets:

Construct a shielded box
Build a box from standard materials, then line it with certified fabric, tape, and foam gaskets.
Add a shielded air vent
Install an EMI honeycomb panel for shielding with excellent airflow.
Add a shielded filter
Charge and transfer data through USB, Ethernet, and power filters without letting signals in.
Add a shielded window
Install a transparent faraday window to view devices while maintaining conductivity.
Building a full enclosure?
For a fully shielded room there can be no gaps. Use two overlapping layers on floor, ceiling, and walls, sealed at every seam with TitanRF Faraday Tape. Inhabitable rooms and tents also need shielded vents, filters, windows, and a sealing doorway.
EMF reduction and total signal blockage are different jobs. Reducing EMF may only mean covering a few walls or a device; eliminating WiFi entirely requires a complete cage with 100% conductive surfaces and zero penetrations. Not sure which you need? Common questions.
How many layers do I need?
We recommend 2 or more layers for RF shielding projects. Layering increases signal attenuation. We tested single, double, and triple layers to confirm this. Use enough layers for your specific attenuation needs, and overlap all seams.
Is this woven cloth or a paper-like sheet?
TitanRF Faraday Fabric is a woven copper/nickel conductive fabric (66% polyester, 25% copper, 9% nickel). It cuts, folds, and tapes easily and holds its shape. If you need a softer, stretchable textile for lining clothing or hats, see TitanRF Flex Faraday Fabric.
How do I join two pieces of fabric?
Use TitanRF Faraday Tape to create a conductive seal between overlapping sheets and to repair punctures. A tape sample or roll is included with every fabric size.
What's the difference between EMF reduction and full signal blocking?
They're different projects. Reducing EMF may only require covering a few walls or a single device. Completely blocking a signal like WiFi requires a sealed enclosure with 100% conductive surfaces and no gaps, using multiple layers of fabric and tape. Define your goal first, and contact us if you're unsure.
Can I use it in construction, like inside walls?
Yes. You can place it between drywall, apply a thin layer of general contact adhesive, or tape it in place. Drive screws sparingly. For larger builds, add shielded filters, vents, windows, and a sealing doorway. See the DIY video series above.
Are there safety considerations?
The fabric contains copper and nickel, so it is conductive and flammable. Keep it away from outlets, plugs, cables, and any electrical sources to reduce fire risk. California Prop 65: this product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
