01 — The standard

The fabric inside everything we make.

TitanRF™ Faraday Fabric is our flagship shielding material, a woven copper-and-nickel textile engineered to block radio frequency signals from low MHz up to 40 GHz. It's the exact fabric used throughout the Mission Darkness product line and the benchmark every other material is measured against, trusted by military and law enforcement forensic investigators worldwide.

It's also independently lab-tested and certified to MIL-STD-188-125 and IEEE 299-2006. That's concrete proof of shielding against high-altitude electromagnetic pulses (HEMPs), coronal mass ejections, electrostatic discharge, and solar flares. Handle it like ordinary fabric: cut, sew, or tape it to almost any surface.

02 — Field-proven uses

One material. Many missions.

Signal isolation & privacy

Block cell, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, RFID, and NFC to stop hacking, tracking, and spying. Built for digital privacy, forensic analysis, secure facilities, and hardware/software testing.

EMP protection

Wrap generators, radios, drives, and survival gear to defend electronics against natural or man-made electromagnetic pulses.

EMF reduction

Line walls or cover devices to reduce harmful EMF/EMI radiation exposure in bedrooms, offices, and living spaces.

Privacy & data security

Shield keyfobs, credit cards, and access badges from skimming, cloning, tracking, and unauthorized scanning.

Rooms & tents

Construct signal-proof rooms, booths, and tents using overlapping layers sealed with TitanRF Faraday Tape.

Industrial & IoT

Add a layer of shielding to construction projects, IoT development, and custom RF enclosures of any size.

03 — Why it performs

Built to shield. Tested to prove it.

Superior shieldingBlocks RF from low MHz to 40 GHz: WiFi, 5G, GPS, Bluetooth, RFID, NFC, and more. A single layer delivers 65 dB+, and adding layers increases attenuation further.
Certified performanceLab-tested to MIL-STD-188-125 (HEMP-compliant) and IEEE 299-2006 shielding standards.
Advanced composition66% polyester, 25% copper, 9% nickel. Flexible yet highly conductive.
Lightweight & durableLong-lasting protection without bulk; corrosion- and tarnish-resistant over time.
User-friendlyCut, sew, and integrate like standard fabric. 2+ layers recommended for full RF shielding.
Trusted qualityThe same high-performance material inside Mission Darkness Faraday bags and enclosures.

06 — DIY video series

Watch it built, step by step.

From a quick faraday-enclosure demo to a full four-part shielded box build with vents, filters, and a viewing window.

DIY faraday enclosure: start here

See how TitanRF Fabric and Tape come together to build custom faraday cages, reduce EMI/EMR, seal RF enclosures, join multiple fabric sheets, and mend a punctured bag.

Part 1

Construct a shielded box

Build a box from standard materials, then line it with certified fabric, tape, and foam gaskets.

Part 2

Add a shielded air vent

Install an EMI honeycomb panel for shielding with excellent airflow.

Part 3

Add a shielded filter

Charge and transfer data through USB, Ethernet, and power filters without letting signals in.

Part 4

Add a shielded window

Install a transparent faraday window to view devices while maintaining conductivity.

07 — Rooms & tents

Building a full enclosure?

For a fully shielded room there can be no gaps. Use two overlapping layers on floor, ceiling, and walls, sealed at every seam with TitanRF Faraday Tape. Inhabitable rooms and tents also need shielded vents, filters, windows, and a sealing doorway.

EMF reduction and total signal blockage are different jobs. Reducing EMF may only mean covering a few walls or a device; eliminating WiFi entirely requires a complete cage with 100% conductive surfaces and zero penetrations. Not sure which you need? Contact us and we'll tailor tips to your application.

08 — Complete your project

Fabric is just the start.

Pair the fabric with tape and gaskets to seal seams and doorways, or explore the full range of TitanRF fabrics (Flex, Flame Retardant, Shadow, TerraDefend) and DIY supplies like patches, shielded vents, windows, and gloves.

09 — FAQ

Common questions.

How many layers do I need?

We recommend 2 or more layers for RF shielding projects. Layering increases signal attenuation. We tested single, double, and triple layers to confirm this. Use enough layers for your specific attenuation needs, and overlap all seams.

Is this woven cloth or a paper-like sheet?

TitanRF Faraday Fabric is a woven copper/nickel conductive fabric (66% polyester, 25% copper, 9% nickel). It cuts, folds, and tapes easily and holds its shape. If you need a softer, stretchable textile for lining clothing or hats, see TitanRF Flex Faraday Fabric.

How do I join two pieces of fabric?

Use TitanRF Faraday Tape to create a conductive seal between overlapping sheets and to repair punctures. A tape sample or roll is included with every fabric size.

What's the difference between EMF reduction and full signal blocking?

They're different projects. Reducing EMF may only require covering a few walls or a single device. Completely blocking a signal like WiFi requires a sealed enclosure with 100% conductive surfaces and no gaps, using multiple layers of fabric and tape. Define your goal first, and contact us if you're unsure.

Can I use it in construction, like inside walls?

Yes. You can place it between drywall, apply a thin layer of general contact adhesive, or tape it in place. Drive screws sparingly. For larger builds, add shielded filters, vents, windows, and a sealing doorway. See the DIY video series above.

Are there safety considerations?

The fabric contains copper and nickel, so it is conductive and flammable. Keep it away from outlets, plugs, cables, and any electrical sources to reduce fire risk. California Prop 65: this product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Where can I find more detailed answers?

Our full DIY shielded enclosure FAQ covers best practices and commonly asked questions in depth, and a printed instruction sheet is included with your order.

NOT Fabric

This… is faraday PAPER. Definitely NOT cloth/fabric, nor is it stretchable. No way to line hats, nor anything else that is actual cloth, using this crinkly sheet of paper. For lining clothes and hats, you want the stuff that’s actual cloth/fabric that “starts at $42.00” here on this site. Please stop describing this as “fabric.”

Security with USA made High Quality Products

I used the Faraday fabric (double layered) and Faraday tape to create bags for key fobs (with attached extra keys) and credit cards for my family. I made outer Denim bags with wide Velcro to ensure that the Faraday bags were secure & tightly folded twice. The Faraday fabric was easy to cut, & easy to tape the seams. Tested the first bag with the fob in it by holding against the car door near the handle. I was never able to open the car door until I took the fob out of the Faraday bag. I will be ordering more Faraday fabric and tape. Thank you for giving us more security & peace of mind with your made in USA products.
