Mission Darkness™ FreeRoam Faraday Belt Bag

The Mission Darkness™ FreeRoam Faraday Belt Bag is a stylish waist pack perfect for travel and everyday wear. The large interior compartment is lined with two discreet layers of TitanRF™ Faraday Fabric, a lab certified high-shielding material that blocks radio frequencies (RF) and electromagnetic fields (EMF). The shielded compartment blocks WiFi (2.4 & 5GHz), Bluetooth, cell signals including 5G networks, GPS, RFID, NFC, and radio signals with 90dB average attenuation from low MHz all the way up to 40GHz.

When a cell phone is enclosed in the bag, no apps or malicious code can be remotely triggered or wiped, no communication can penetrate, and no one can access the microphone, camera, GPS location, or data. The shielded compartment also provides a barrier between your body and harmful EMF radiation and pollution emanating from cell phones or other electronic devices inside. Additional benefits include RFID security for passports, credit cards, and any item with an RFID chip/tag.

The shielded compartment utilizes a magnetic closure, making it easy to access contents inside. The magnetic seal rolls closed and is contained inside of the bag, which has an additional outer zipper seal. The bag is constructed with a protective exterior, plus two unshielded front zipper compartments to store accessories. To wear, simply clip the bag around your body for hands-free carrying. The adjustable band can be clipped around the waist or worn like a sling over the shoulder.

Primary uses are for defense against data theft, personal security, EMP protection, EMF radiation reduction, law enforcement and military forensic evidence collection, and to enhance digital privacy. The bag is typically used to shield cell phones, passports, credit cards, GPS units, transponders, transmitters, two-way radios, keyfobs, smart watches, and similar size electronics.

Secure Magnetic Closure

The faraday compartment utilizes a double roll plus magnetic closure, making it easy to access contents inside, and offers a secure seal. The faraday compartment is contained inside of the belt bag, which has an additional external zipper seal.

Offers RF & EMF Protection

Handheld devices, like cell phones, emit a large amount of EMF radiation/RF pollution. Normally we are exposed to these emissions every time we carry a cell phone in our pockets or close to our body. The protective FreeRoam Faraday Belt Bag offers a barrier between your body and harmful EMF emissions from man-made sources. An RF barrier is especially desired for individuals with EMF sensitivity and women who are pregnant.

RF & EMF Shielding

Universal Size

Discreet Protection

The main compartment is lined with two layers of high-shielding TitanRF™ Faraday Fabric to protect against RF and EMF radiation. The additional accessory pockets are unshielded.

Faraday compartment utilizes a secure magnetic seal that rolls closed and is contained inside of the bag. To use, simply follow the steps below.

1) Expand faraday compartment and place contents inside.

2) Fold the top rim over twice evenly.

3) Fold the magnetic side wings inward so the removable red dot stickers make contact with each other. *The stickers are a temporary feature to demonstrate the closure method.

Accomplishes the goal well, with some sacrifices

This is a great product. I accomplishes it's goal well; however, with some sacrifices. My testing showed that the protective faraday compartment completely blocked all wireless signal from and to the phone. The bag is comfortable and has nice touch features like an elastic strap on each side of the bag strap, this makes it so you don't have the excess strap flopping all over when you wear it. The straps are quite long and accommodate a fairly large person (40" waist) easily. The downside is that you sacrifice accessibility and capacity for the protection. The faraday pocket requires you to roll and fold and tuck the pouch compartment each time you access the main pocket. This takes up a lot of space in the main pocket and takes time each time you access it. This is the general approach all faraday pouches takes though so it's apparently necessary. As such I didn't reduce the starts for that downside, but it's worth being aware of because you won't get nearly as much into this pack as you expect to based on the size. Over-all very happy with the pack and will use it again when traveling.

I use it at work and gym

I went on website got a one year warranty. Also Mission Darkness gives you a app you can download to your phone to check the faraday bag to test it to make sure it works

Eye Candy

Definitely sounds too good to be true but I bought it and I've made great use of it. Still would love to test it against radiation so there will be a part 2 to this review.

Beautiful Bag

It is a little larger than I anticipated; but, I am getting ready to test it.

Works Great!

Not as bulky as I thought it might be. Mission Darkness makes very good quality items. I have an electrosmog meter and I also tested with their phone app, and the bag does a great job of blocking the RF signals. I didn't test it with WiFi on but no need. If it works for the phone, it works for the WiFi. One thing I need to understand better though, is how I can have a video playing on my phone, I put it in the bag while the video is going, and after I seal the bag the video continues to play and I can listen to it, but the meter shows the RF emissions going from a high of 50.something spikes, down to .0005 or .0010. There is something I'm missing. But anyway, being sensitive to EMFs, I am definitely feeling better keeping my phone in the bag most of the day while I'm working and not using it.
